Nova Scotia Introduces E-Bidding

Important Information for Suppliers

The Government of Nova Scotia is enhancing its procurement process with the introduction of E-bidding. In September 2017, suppliers wishing to bid on open competitions posted for Government departments, the Nova Scotia Health Authority and select IWK Health Centre opportunities will be required to submit their responses using SAP Ariba (except for those offered through Bid Express and Health Pro).

To facilitate this transition, the Supplier Engagement Team of ISD Procurement will be hosting sessions throughout the Province this coming August.  These sessions will provide you with an introduction to E-bidding and its benefits, as well as an overview of doing business with the Government of Nova Scotia.

For more information and to register for one of the sessions, please visit our website.

The South Shore Regional Enterprise Network opened their office and began operations on November 23, 2015. The SSREN is a partnership between the Government of Nova Scotia and municipalities. The SSREN takes a regional approach to economic development by creating an economic strategy, coordinating efforts, and focusing on helping businesses grow. An inter-municipal agreement gives each partner rights and authority, and outlines the governance for the network.

Planning is underway for the preparation of a Regional Economic Development Strategy, which will be done in collaboration with the Province, municipal partners, the business communities, and economic development stakeholders and intermediaries.
